ArchCloudTM backup service provides an easy way for people to backup and safeguard their data. We’ve heard a lot from people, how they lost their data due to low end consumer hard drives, peripherals like external hard drives, soho NAS units with RAID that failed, computer crashes, motherboard failures with software RAID, liquid spilled accidents, employees deleting data, and so forth.

We had people tell us how other backup services would restrict file types, file sizes, and how the cost to store them over a long period of time onto the cloud was expensive. They wanted something easy with a reliable back end that they could depend on, without the hassle of knowing what can or can’t be backed up, without reading the fine prints.

Introducing our two products, ArchCloudTM Pro and ArchCloudTM Lite editions.  Each product was designed for ease of use and we stacked them with a load of features for:

  • Desktop/Laptop backup
  • File server backup
  • Microsoft Exchange Server backup
  • Email backup
  • Database server backup
Backup your data automatically and securely with ArchCloud. The system encrypts your data, transmits it over SSL to a secure, remote location for safekeeping. It is then replicated to give the extra insurance and peace of mind that your data is safe, so that in the event of disaster your data is still retrievable.

Security

  • Encryption:
Choose the encryption mode for your data
    – Blowfish, AES, DESede (Triple DES)
    – Cipher Modes (ECB, or CBC)
For maximum security, select AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) Algorithm (Military Grade with 256-bit), CBC (Cipher Block Chaining) mode and use an encrypting key with more than 8 characters.
  • SSL Transmission: These encrypted files are then sent via 128–bit SSL–the same encryption used in online banking–to our data center where they remain in their encrypted state and then are replicated to give maximum redundancy, making sure that your data is safe and retrievable.
  • Data centers: All data centers employ state-of-the-art security and are SAS70 certified.
  • Continuous Data Protection: If enabled, ArchCLoud automatically detects and backs up new and changed files, in real-time.

Ease of Use

  • Scheduled backups: Scheduled backups can be performed daily or weekly at a specified time of day.
  • In-File-Delta: After the initial backup, ArchCloud only backs up new or changed portions of files, which saves bandwidth and ensures future backups are fast.
  • Multiple Backup options: Users and administrators can backup to a local hard drive, and backup online to ArchCloud, giving users and administrators flexibility and multiple levels of backup protection. Also can be used for seed loading of large sets of data.
  • Multiple Restore options: Restore data via the ArchCloud software client, through our secure web interface, or by ordering a DVD/USB/Hard Drive restore.

Platform and File Support

  • SQL, MySQL, MS Exchange, and network drive support: ArchCloud Pro comes with a large set of database type modules to help back up common business applications running on Windows, Mac and Nix type servers.
  • Windows, Nix, Mac support: ArchCloud supports Windows (2000, XP, 2003, Vista, and 7, including servers), Mac OS X (10.3+, desktop and server), BSD, Linux, Solaris, and other operating systems.   Supports essentially all operating systems that runs Java2
  • Open and locked file support: ArchCloud backs up all open and locked files, including Outlook PST files using Microsoft’s VSS technology
  • Retention Policy: Allows for users and administrators to define how long data is to be kept and to be recycled.
  • File Filters: ArchCloud allows users and administrators to define their own filters.  Filter out what files they don’t want backed up, otherwise, files types are unrestricted.
