Microsoft Windows System Backup and Restore (Bare-Metal Recovery)

ArchCloud Pro has integrated with StorageCraft’s ShadowProtect and Microsoft Windows System Backup to offer automatic remote offsite bare-metal system backup and restore. Although both StorageCraft ShadowProtect and Windows System Backup allow users to perform bare-metal system backup, they both lack the ability to perform remote offsite backup easily and efficiently. By combining ShadowProtect and Microsoft Windows System Backup with ArchCloud’s expertise in automatic remote offsite backup technologies, users are able to use ArchCloud Pro to perform offsite complete bare-metal system backup easily for better protection.

In case of a total-loss disaster happened to a computer or server, backed up image containing the complete operating system and installed applications with the latest configurations and settings, along with all data, can be restored easily to a computer, even of completely different hardware, without running into the Windows blue screen.

Continuous Data Protection

ArchCloud Pro comes with advanced Continuous Data Protection (CDP) technology which can be set to capture every version of the data of a file that has been saved to your hard drive. With CDP, even if your hard drive crashes completely after you have worked for a full day without invoking backup manually yourself, the saved copy of your working files will still be intact on the backup server. It provides a highly dependable means of real-time, continuous data protection for file servers, desktops, and laptops effortlessly and transparently, without any human intervention.

Flexible Backup Schedule

Besides CDP, ArchCloud Pro provides a flexible backup scheduler to implement your desired backup policy easily. Examples of scheduling options include backup at a specific time, at multiple times per day, and before Windows is shut down, etc.

Local Backup

Make a local back up to your external hard drive while making a backup onto ArchCloud.

256-Bit Top Security Encryption

With ArchCloud Pro, all data will be compressed and 256-bit encrypted with an encrypting key selected by the user on the client-side before being uploaded and stored on ArchCoud. The encrypting key will never be uploaded to the backup server during backup. Decryption, on the other hand, is only possible with user’s encrypting key. This whole mechanism provides exceptional security to the backed up data.

Seed-Load Utility and In-File Delta Enable Fast Backup

Our seed load and in-file delta incremental technologies enable backup of a large volume of data to be completed in a very short period of time. The seed load feature allows backup of the large volume of data to a local hard drive. With our proprietary in-file delta technology, the original file is required to be backed up once only, i.e. in the first backup job. Subsequently, only the changes within the file made since the previous backup are necessary to be backed up.

incrementalFor example, for a file that is as large as 500GB, you can simply seed load the full backup to a removable local hard drive and then deliver the seed loaded data in the removable hard drive to the backup server. Since only the changes made within the 500GB file, normally less than 1%, i.e. 5GB, of the original file size, are required to be backed up again, this amount of data can be backed up easily to the server via the Internet or Intranet in one night. As a result, instead of having to back up 500GB everyday, you just need to back up 5GB everyday to keep the file up-to-date on the backup server.

Support Running of Any Application Before or After a Backup Job

With ArchCloud Pro’s command line tool, a user can set to run any applications before or after a scheduled backup. For example, if you wish to run an anti-virus software before a backup and turn off the Windows after the backup, these tasks can easily be configured in ArchCloud Pro.

Web Access Similar to Online Briefcase

With ArchCloud Pro, you can get access to your account via the Internet. You can restore your backed up files remotely from any computer at anytime without the backup client software. Therefore, if your’re travleling or needing to reinstall your compter, you’ll be able to restore the data you need, anytime, anywhere.
